Parents and families of Chillicothe Basketball players had an opportunity to watch the Chillicothe basketball teams conduct an intra-squad scrimmage Monday night at the CHS Gym.
The Junior Varsity girls, followed by the Junior Varsity boys, each had a 15-minute scrimmage that was conducted under game-like conditions.
The Varsity Girls and Boys teams had 20 minute scrimmage with the games ending in close scores.
The scrimmages were officiated by the MSHSAA Officials Association Mechanics Clinic members.
Thursday the Varsity Hornets and Lady Hornets are scheduled to host Brookfield in a Jamboree style scrimmage at the High School.
The first actual contest is scheduled for next Tuesday in a girls/boys doubleheader at Penney of Hamilton.
The week after Thanksgiving the Hornets and Lady Hornets will both play in the Savannah Invitational in a traditional 8-teams bracket. Chillicothe coaches have stated the level of competition is tougher than in past years.
The Girls bracket has Chillicothe playing Smithville on Monday the 30th at 4pm.
The Hornet Boys face Kearney on the following evening at 5:30pm.
