A loaded cattle trailer overturned Wednesday evening on US 36 at Mitchell Avenue. Chillicothe Police responded to the accident at about 9:00 pm and found a semi pulling a fully loaded cattle trailer on its side. The driver, a 40-year-old man from Ohio, was uninjured. He reported another semi was passing him and started moving into his lane, causing him to run off the road and overturn.
Several cattle were off-loaded, but the remainder could not be unloaded until the trailer was uprighted. Four head of cattle died in the rollover. The remaining cattle were taken to the Tina Livestock Market for safekeeping.
