A juvenile at the Trenton Middle School was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after allegedly assaulting a Trenton Police Officer.
At about 12:30 pm Wednesday, Trenton Police were called to the Middle School at the request of school officials. While Officers were assisting with an uncooperative boy, the juvenile struck an Officer in the face with his fist and kicked the Officer in the chest.
The boy was taken into custody and turned over to juvenile authorities for incarceration at a juvenile holding facility.
The Officer sought medical treatment at Wright Memorial Hospital and later returned to duty.
