The Thanksgiving Holiday will be very different for most families this year. The large gatherings are reduced to a few select guests or just immediate family.
If you are used to a large gathering and bringing a portion of the meal, it doesn’t need to be that different.
Talk with the rest of the family, and work out the time to have everything ready. Place a portion of the items you are preparing in dishes appropriate for the other households and do a meal exchange.
This will even allow you to do some of the cooking well ahead and freeze until needed. On Thanksgiving, reheat all the food and make the arrangements to deliver or exchange at a centralized location.
You still get to see some of the family and enjoy all of the regular treats each person specializes in.
Make the most of your holidays and be thankful for those you have around you.
