Employees of the City of Chillicothe will continue with the same health insurance as last year, but the deductible will be higher. City Administrator Darin Chappell told the Council the insurance will go from a $40,000 Deductible to a $60,000 Deductible which will lower the rates for the policy. He says this should not have a major effect on the employees as in the current year they had only one person meet the deductible.
Chappell says the policy allows the city to offer a lower deductible to the employees.
The city also added Dental and Vision coverage and they added hearing aids to the health policy’s Durable Medical Equipment list.
