The Joy Toy project in Chillicothe will move into the distribution phase next week and there are plenty of toys and appointments available for distribution. Debbie Hershberger from the Joy Toy project says volunteers have been busy preparing the gently used toys for distribution.
Jim Hinrichs from Joy Toy says they have nearly 100 bikes available this year.
The Joy Toy Program has no financial limitations. They are not asking about your income. If you are in need, they want to help. You will need an appointment, which can be made by calling 646-0010. You will be given a time and Hersherger says when you arrive at the 55 & Go office at 440 Locust, you will need to check-in by calling. When you are allowed in, they will call you to make your selections from the Joy Toy items. You will need to wear a mask and they will practice social distancing.
Appointments are available for December 8th, 9th, and 10th. On the 11th, they will have toys available for anyone without an appointment. To make your appointment, call 646-0010.
