The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 105 calls for service Thursday. Some of the calls include:
1:17 am, Officers made a traffic stop near the US 36 & 65 intersection. The traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a man for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The 30-year-old Kansas City resident was cited and released.
8:53 am, Officers responded to a call of an individual who received a call from a person identifying as from the Social Security Administration and stating that the person’s Social Security number had been compromised. The police remind us that if you receive a phone call such as this, DO NOT provide the caller with ANY information. IT’S A SCAM to get your information!!!!!!
11:41 am, Checked a report of theft from a storage unit in 200 block of McCormick. Determined to be a civil issue.
5:06 pm, a Possible fire reported in the area of Third and Wilson Streets. Officers located a fire in a burn barrel. No report.
6:27 pm, Reported illegal burning in the area of Calhoun and Easton Streets. Fire located at Jackson and Easton Streets and the person extinguished the fire.
