A fire Sunday evening left a pick-up a total loss. Chillicothe firefighters responded to a truck fire Sunday at about 6:45 pm at #1 Calhoun. The fire crew arrived about 2 minutes later to find the pick-up truck fully involved. A diesel fuel tank had also ruptured. The fire crew used a hand line to quickly knock down the fire and the crew connected to a hydrant a block away. About 1000 gallons of water was used to put out the fire and cool the engine.
No other damage to a nearby building or cargo trailer.
The fire crew was on the scene for about 45 minutes.
