Lady Hornet Wrestlers 2nd in MEC

The Chillicothe Lady Hornets wrestling team had an outstanding showing at the Midland Empire Conference Girls Wrestling Championships.
112lb division Abigail Clements placed first. She lost to a Benton wrestler 8-3 in round one then pinned a Cameron wrestler in 1:14 to win first.
132lb division Addison Lewis placed second with back to back losses by pin to a Savannah Wrestler.
137lb division Karyna Ireland placed second with a win by pin over a Savannah Wrestler, a loss by pin to a Benton wrestler and a win by pin over a Cameron wrestler.
174lb division Haliey Fahling finished second with a win by pin over a Maryville wrestler and a loss to a Cameron wrestler by pin.
Cameron won the team Conference title easily with 224 points, thanks to eleven wrestlers on their team. Chillicothe finished second with 82 points, beating out Savannah by one point. Maryville was fourth followed by Lafayette and Benton.
