The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 67 calls for service Thursday. Some of the calls include:
8:43 am, a report of an accident involving two vehicles in a private driveway in the 1500 block of Jackson Street. One vehicle had backed into the other. No injuries and no citations.
1:36 pm, Officers responded to the intersection of Reynard and Herriman for a single-vehicle accident. A semi had struck a utility pole. The truck was towed. No injuries were reported.
5:50 pm, Officers responded to the 1000 block of Graves Street for a reported theft. The investigation is continuing.
7:45 pm, Officers checked a report of a strange odor, possibly smoke coming from the area of the Chillicothe Elementary School. The officers were unable to determine the actual source of the smoke odor. There were no problems at the school.
9:41 pm, Officers responded to a report of a vehicle with young children unattended and running in the parking lot in 1000 block of Graves Street. Officers contacted the driver, who was counseled on the incident.
