08-25-18 Great Pershing Balloon Derby
The 42nd annual Great Pershing Balloon Derby is Labor Day weekend in Brookfield. Richard Techau is one of the organizers of the event that begins on Friday, August 31st and runs through the weekend. Techau says the derby itself is a competition.
The Balloon Derby kicks off Friday with an event in Brookfield.
He says a lot of the fun happened at their field, west of Brookfield.
There are also games, souvenirs and festival foods available on the sight.
Tickets at the field are $2 per person and $6 for a car load. Night glows are scheduled both Saturday and Sunday nights as weather permits.
