Chillicothe Fire Fighters Responded To Two Grass Fires Wednesday

The Chillicothe Fire Department responded to two reports fo grass fires Wednesday.

The first call was at about 2:20 pm to a grass fire two miles south of Chillicothe on US 65.  According to the report, the fire crew arrived with the brush truck in four minutes and used 50 gallons of water to put out the fire that burned about 100 square feet.  The fire crew was on the scene for about 5 minutes.

The second call came in at about 6:55 pm for a fire five miles west of Chillicothe on eastbound US 36.  The fire crew arrived in four minutes and found 250 square feet of land was burning adjacent to the road.  About 225 gallons of water was used to put out the fire and the fire crew was on the scene for less than 15 minutes.
