A long-time department head for the City of Chillicothe passed away over the weekend. City Administrator Darin Chappell says Bill Kieffer was a part of the Chillicothe Airport for decades.
Chappell says Bill Kieffer pushed long and hard for the upgrades to the runway and was very happy to see that project completed.
He also helped whenever possible if there was a need for an ariel search or a survey on an area.
Chappell says his experience and institutional knowledge will be hard to replace.
