Poor road conditions resulted in accidents in two area counties Tuesday.
At about 10:35 am in Linn County, Troopers responded to a single-vehicle accident on US 36 near Meadville. According to the report, 71-year-old William Bryan of St. Catherine was eastbound and lost control on the snow-covered roadway. He went off the left side of the road and his vehicle overturned. Bryan was wearing a safety belt and was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment of minor injuries.
A single-vehicle accident on Highway 6 near Jamesport left a passenger with minor injuries. State Troopers report 33-year-old Colby Baker of Trenton was eastbound and traveling too fast for the ice-covered roads; He slid off the west side of Highway 6 and his car overturned on the driver’s side. His passenger, 30-year-old Jomelle Baker of Trenton had minor injuries and was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. They were wearing safety belts.
