The KCHI listening area received a blanket of white Friday to bring in the new year. The National Weather Service reports snowfall totals were generally two inches and above in the local counties.
A few reports for the local area include Chillicothe with 4 inches of snow measured and reported by local spotters. In Trenton, the total was 3 ¼ inches and Gallatin reported 2 inches.
The MoDOT Traveler Information Map shows most of the major routes in our area, including US 36, US 65, and Interstate 35, partly snow-covered or covered. If you will be out this morning, use caution and allow extra time to reach your destination.
