A Winter Weather Advisory is issued for all of the KCHI listening area, with a Blizzard warning for several counties in NW Missouri. National Weather Services Meteorologist Pamela Pietrycha says this system will bring snow and blowing snow across the area.
The winds will be a factor today, causing problems with visibility, blowing and drifting snow and wind chills.
If you need to be on the road, use caution. If you have plans to travel to areas in the NW part of the state, you may want to reconsider those plans.
Pietrycha says the snow is expected to come to an end this afternoon or evening.
Winds will die down this evening and become less of an issue.
