Nine Chillicothe Hornet wrestlers earned Medals to lead their team to a third-place finish in the 20-team Chillicothe wrestling tournament.
Sheldon Rader won gold at 120 pounds, Brock Miller was 2nd at 195, Lane McCoy at 106, Wade Horton at 220 and Christian Peniston each on 3rd place.
Cayden Larson finished 4th.
Taking 5th were Justin Pyle at 132, Bryce Dominique at 145, Brody Carins at 152. Wrestling and earning team points but not placing were Joel Edwards at 113, Logan Clark at 126 and Dawson Sutton at 160. Chillicothe had no entry at 170 or 182.
Chillicothe also competed with a Junior Varsity team and a Junior Varsity #2 season.
Aidan Zimmerman went 1-2, Gavin Funk went 2-2 with two byes, Cesar Mares went 1-2 with a bye, Priest Bosley went 1-2 with a bye.
Lucas Reynolds placed 3rd, going 3-1 with a bye.
Dilyn Ulmer finished 4th, going 2-2 with a bye.
Mid-Buchanan won the team title with 275.5 points, Gallatin 2nd with 166.5 and Chillicothe 3rd with 157 points.
