The Missouri Department of Conservation Eagle Days is an opportunity to view and learn about the American Bald Eagle – A National Symbol of the United States.
Adam Brandsgaard, Conservation Educator for the Missouri Dept. of Conservation says traditionally, Eagle Days is an opportunity to see eagles in nature, but also in a controlled setting.
Brandsgaard says, unfortunately, this year those live programs are not available, but they are offering a virtual program, February 6th
Go to MDC.mo.gov and click on Events then click on Eagle Days
There are locations around the Chillicothe area that you can view eagles. Brandsgaard says the wetland areas along US 65 and 36 near the Grand River can be good. You can also check the Conservation Areas near the rivers. Use Caution, as some of those areas may be closed to the public during various hunting seasons.
