The Chillicothe Hornets fought off a scrappy Lathrop team and picked up a 49 to 42 home win over Lathrop. The Chillicothe Lead was single digits until the early fourth quarter when they build a double digit lead twice, before a late run by Lathrop.
Coach Tim Cool said Lathrop played well.
Hayden Simmer led Chillicothe with 15 points, Griff Bonderer and Wyatt Brandsgaard each with 11 points, James Mathew with seven, Mason Baxter with four, Jackson Trout with one and playing time for Cayden Potter, Jackson Trout and Kyle Young.
Chillicothe plays at KC St Pius X tonight and at St Joseph Benton Friday night.
