The Chillicothe Lady Hornets varsity team is back in action tonight when they host St Joseph Benton. Chillicothe is 14-3 coming off a big home win over Lathrop on Monday.
Chillicothe beat Benton 58-56 in overtime on the road last year when Benton missed a lay up at the overtime buzzer.
Coach Darren Smith says the Lady Cardinals starters were all underclassmen last season.
The night will be a triple-header with the C-team game at 5:00, JV at 6:15 and Varsity at 7:30pm. Out of 89 meetings, Chillicothe has only beat Benton 27 times. The most epic win in recent meetings was a Chillicothe win over Benton at N.C.M.C. on Jan 3rd, 2015 when they snapped a 28 games losing skid to Benton. Since then Benton has won six of the last nine meetings.
