The 2021 National Weather Service Severe Weather Awareness Week is March 1st to the 5th. During this time, the National Weather Service will be focusing on several different severe weather safety topics, including: preparedness on Monday, tornado safety on Tuesday, lightning safety on Wednesday, hail, wind and thunderstorm safety on Thursday, and flood safety on Friday.
During the week KCHI will speak with a National Weather Service Meteorologist about the various aspects of severe weather.
