The Chillicothe Street Improvement program will move forward over the next several weeks as bid specs are ready to send to the contractors. City Administrator Darin Chappell talked about this year’s program.
The work will include Concrete streets, Asphalt overlay, and chip and seal.
That means for every 10 miles of chip and seal, they would only get 1 mile of overlay.
He says they hope to receive bids back for Chip and Seal and overlay in the next several weeks and at that point, they need to wait for warmer weather to begin the work.
