Results from Friday’s State Basketball Tournaments:
Class 2 Girls Championship was won by Ellington which beat Wellington-Napoleon 63 to 56. Blue Eye girls beat Scotland County for third place 59 to 52.
Campbell boys won the Class 2 championship over Salisbury 67 to 50.
Norwood beat North Andrew boys 56 to 43 in the third place game.
In Class 1 Girls Semi-Finals Leeton beat South Iron 47 to 43 and Jefferson/South Nodaway girls beat Walnut Grove 49 to 44
Class 1 Boys Semi-Finals South Iron beat Higbee 75 to 40 and
Mound City/Craig beat St Elizabeth 59 to 39.
In Class 3 Girls semi-finals Lift for Life Academy beat Steelville 50 to 49 when Steelville missed two shots in the final 14 seconds.
Skyline girls beat Tipton 58 to 52
In Class 3 boys semi-finals Hartville beat Lift for Life Academy 58 to 21
and Monroe City boys beat Summit Christian Academy 42 to 35.
Class 4, 5 and 6 quarterfinal games are today across the state.
