The Chillicothe R-II School District will stay with their locally owned bus fleet. The Chillicothe R-II School Board rejected bids to go to a bus service. Superintendent Dan Wiebers says the cost was too high.
Wiebers says the district does have an aging fleet of school busses. Most of the busses are from 1998 and 2013. While they are older, they do meet the safety criteria for the state and have passed the inspection.
