After a season off due to the pandemic, the Chillicothe Mudcats are planning to return to baseball action this summer. The Mudcats board of directors are still looking for host families for some of the College Age baseball players.
Chad Fisher with the Mudcats board is in charge of finding homes. He says
host families are asked to provide housing for their assigned player for the duration of their stay in Chillicothe.
Host Families will provide a bed for each player and a bathroom which may be shared. Access to your house, by key or garage door opener.
Host families may prepare meals for your player at your leisure or at least, have food available for your player that they may prepare themselves. The team travels for half their games, and are fed by local businesses after each home game.
Fisher says a washer and dryer are generally necessary but other convenient ideas may be considered.
Fisher says some host families continue to stay in touch with former players years after the season.
