Chillicothe Fire Fighters responded to a report of an illegal fire at 30 Mitchell Avenue. The call came in about 2:12 pm and the fire crew arrived in three minutes to find a smoldering rubbish fire and grass that had been burnt behind the building by the railroad tracks. About 400 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire. The Chillicothe Police Department was also called to the scene.
The fire crew was on the scene for about 30 minutes.
