CHS Girls Soccer Beats Bishop LeBlond

The Chillicothe Girls Soccer team picked up a 4-2 win over Bishop LeBlond. Coach Jimmy Chapman said the Lady Hornets started off sluggish, but picked it up after giving up the first goal in the 4th minute.
After that first goal, Chillicothe picked up the pace with a goal in the 12th minute from Delanie Kieffer off an assist by Lucy Reeter. Then it was Reeter with the goal and the assist by Allison Ishmael in the 20th minute.
Juliann Gabrielson scored off a Reeter assist in the 32nd minute for a 3-1 Chillicothe lead at halftime.
Reeter found the goal again in the 48th minute thanks to an assist by Ishmael.
LeBlond scored off a penalty kick in the 68th minute for the final 4-2 Chillicothe win.
Goal Keeper Allie Italiano had 12 saves in the game for Chillicothe.
Coach Chapman said his team’s forwards played really well and finished the chances the team had. He said he was proud the way the team came back after allowing the first goal. He said it showed mental toughness and is a good sign going forward.
The JV also won 1-0 with Delanie Kieffer scoring the goal and Hadley Beemer with the shut out with seven saves.
