The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 94 calls for service Monday. Those calls include:
3:17 am, Officers checked on a pedestrian near Walnut and Jackson Street. Officers detained the person and an intoxicated minor. They were released to a relative.
9:12 am, Officer recovered an abandoned bicycle from a ditch in the 200 block of E. Jackson. The bicycle can be identified and claimed at PD.
9:29 pm, Officer made a traffic stop at Ryan Lane and Washington Street for an equipment violation. The driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. They were cited and released.
Chillicothe Police Officers responded to 120 calls for services over the weekend.
Sunday,
12:00 PM, Officers recovered property in the 1000 block of Graves Street. Officers and dispatchers have returned some items to owners and are still attempting to contact others.
7:25 PM, Officers spoke with a female subject regarding a court order involving children of her and her ex-husband. It was later determined after speaking with both parties they were both violating the court order and they were advised to speak with their attorneys.
8:20 PM, Officers responded to the area of Locust Street and 11th Street in reference to a citizen observing 2 large flashes and what sounded like gunshots from a vehicle that left west on 11th. There was nothing located and officers monitored the area.
Saturday:
1:30 AM, Officers responded to the 300 block of Walnut Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. As a result of the investigation, officers arrested a 26-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man for domestic assault. The woman was processed at the police department, cited, and released. The man was processed at the police department and transferred to the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail.
2:30 AM, Officer responded to a business in the 100 block of W. Business 36 Highway about an attempted burglary.
8:30 AM, Officers responded to the 300 block of Polk Street about a possible vehicle break-in overnight.
7:46 PM Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Martin Street for a single motor vehicle crash involving a CMU pole. It was later determined V1’s throttle was stuck causing the vehicle to lose control and as a result, it cleared a curb hitting the pole.
