The Chillicothe Hornets Boys Golf team continues to win. Wednesday they added “Cameron Tournament Champions” to their list of accomplishments this season.
The Chillicothe team shot a 343 on the Cameron course to win by 15 strokes. Lafayette County was second with a 358 and Richmond third with a 360. Other teams in order were Cameron, Lawson, Cameron Junior Varsity, Benton, Gallatin in 8th with a 437, Trenton with a 440, Lathrop, and Plattsburg which did not have a complete team.
Lawson’s Jack Evans and Richmond’s Timmy Hamilton tied for medalist honors with both shooting a 76.
Chillicothe’s Colby Gillespie was 3rd with a 41 on the front and a 39 on the back 9 for an 80. James Mathew shot a 42/43 for an 85 and tied for 5th. Jackson Trout shot a 45/42 for an 87 and tied for 8th place.
Spencer Shira shot 45/46 for a 91 to tie for 11th and Dalton Ripley fired 52/47 for a 99.
