Forty members of Missouri FFA and 4H programs were selected to receive Youth In Agriculture scholarships to attend higher education at a Missouri university/college. To qualify, the student must have been a Missouri 4-H or FFA State Fair exhibitor and applied for the scholarship. Scholarship applicants were evaluated in a variety of areas including Missouri State Fair participation, grade point average, community involvement, and leadership roles.
The scholarships are funded through the generosity of Youth in Agriculture sponsors and buyers of the livestock sold during the annual Sale of Champions at the State Fair.
Quincy Wiegand, of Cairo, has been selected to receive the $5,000 platinum scholarship.
