Three Injured In Two Area Accidents

Three people were injured in two accidents in the area counties Friday.

At about 9:10 pm in Carroll County, an accident with a passenger vehicle and a semi left two Chillicothe residents with minor injuries.  Sixty-one-year-old James Nauman of Chillicothe was southbound on US 65 near Route WW and had slowed to make a left turn.  A southbound semi, driven by 39-year-old Scott Hall of Halfway, MO crossed the centerline to avoid the collision and hit the Nauman vehicle, then ran off the left side of the road, struck an embankment, and lost part of his load.  Nauman and his passenger, 59-year-old April Nauman, were taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.  They were wearing safety belts.

At about 8:30 am in Daviess County, a single-vehicle accident left the driver with minor injuries.  State Troopers report a semi driven by Timothy Kollanda of Gillman City was westbound on Route Z in Old Pattonsburg.  He failed to make it through a turn and ran off the road and his truck overturned.  He was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital for treatment.  He was wearing a safety belt.
