23 High School Track Teams competed in Brookfield’s Gary Ewing Invitational on Friday. Due to the number of teams, here are area individual top three place results:
For KCHI Area Girls Teams:
Brookfield: Alex Sharp won the 800, 1600 and 3200 meters, Zoey Chrisman 2nd in Discus.
Brunswick: Addisynn Riley 2nd in 100 Hurdles, Kendra Zeilstra 3rd in 800.
Gallatin: Claire Hemry 2nd in 3200, 3rd in 1600, 4×800 relay team 2nd.
Marceline: Sarah Kussman won the 100 hurdles, 2nd in pole vault, 3rd in 300 hurdles, 4×200 relay team was first, 4×100 relay team and 4×400 relay teams were 2nd, Ramzee Bruner 2nd in high jump & 3rd in triple jump. Peyton Weese 2nd in 300 hurdles.
Trenton: Kristi Ewing won the 200, 400 and 2nd in 100 meters. Shaylise Westerhof 3rd in 100, Ava Simpson 2nd in 1600 and 3rd in 3200.
KCHI Area Boys Teams:
Brookfield: Tyler Polly 2nd in 800, 4×400 relay team 3rd.
Brunswick: Gustav Kussman 2nd in 110 Hurdles.
Hale: Ethan Hoerr won the 3200 meters and 3rd in 1600.
Milan: Jeremy Bennett 1st in the long jump and 3rd in Triple Jump.
Meadville: Conner Fletcher 2nd in Triple Jump.
Trenton: Kayden Spencer 2nd in 1600.
