An agreement between the City of Chillicothe and Livingston County will allow for the creation of a Law Enforcement Center in the building that houses the Chillicothe Police Department. The City Council approved the agreement Monday. City Administrator Darin Chappell explains.
Chappell says this is a first-step towards future plans.
Under the agreement, the move will likely take place by around May 10th. The arrangement does allow for some shared space and processing of and temporary housing of detainees at the Police Department, which already taking place.
The Economic Develpor’s office and the Drivers License Examiner would move to the sheriff’s office.
