The Chillicothe Lady Hornets Soccer team turned in another shut-out victory with a 4-0 win at Savannah. It was their fifth win in their last six games with all five wins by shutout.
Chillicothe scored in the 17th minute on a Lucy Reeter goal off a Makayla Vance assist.
Juliann Gabrielson scored in the 25th minute off an assist from Julia Stimpson.
Delanie Kieffer scored in the 39th minute off a Lucy Reeter assist to make the score 3-0 at intermission,
Kieffer scored again late in the game in the 73rd minute off a Hailee Williams assist.
Lady Hornets Goal Keeper Allie Italiano had another strong outing with eight saves in the contest.
Coach Jimmy Chapman said his Lady Hornets team had great intensity throughout the match, fighting tired legs and a physical Savannah team in the second half.
He said his team was “able to keep the clean sheet and not and not really let Savannah have too man shooting chances”.
The Chillicothe Junior Varsity won 1-0 with the lone goal from Alice Hurgen.
JV Goal Keeper Hadley Beemer had an easy night, with out needing to make a save in the game.
