The Chillicothe boys tennis team saw their team’s season end last night in a 1-5 loss to Carrollton in the district semifinal game.
In doubles play, Caleb Corbin and Carter Allen lost 1-8, Chace Corbin and Emmett Young won 8-6, and Gabe Peterson and Shayden Hawkins lost 0-8.
In singles play, Caleb Corbin lost 4-6, 3-6. Gabe Peterson lost 1-6, 1-6 and
Shayden Hawkins lost 1-6, 2-6 for the 1-5 Carrollton win.
Emmett Young was leading, Carter Allen was trailing and Chace Corbin had not yet started his singles match when Carrollton reached the 5-win total to win the meet.
Chillicothe will still send three players to individual sectionals Friday at 4:00pm in Chillicothe: Caleb Corbin, Carter Allen and Chace Corbin.
