Contractors are making good progress on the new playground at Simpson Park. Parks and Recreation Director Josh Norris says there are a few more steps left on the project.
Norris says Drainage is an important part of the playground project.
He says there are also weep holes in the concrete to allow for additional drainage of the surface.
The timeline for opening the new playground is still uncertain. Norris says weather is an important factor in these final steps.
