Two area teens had serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident Saturday evening. State Troopers report the accident happened at about 9:50 pm on Sunset Avenue, five miles south of Gallatin. According to the report, a 16-year-old from Gallatin was northbound and did not make it through a curve. The vehicle ran off the road and struck an embankment. The driver was wearing a safety belt and was not injured. Two passengers, a 16-year-old girl from Gallatin and a 16-year-old boy from Pattonsburg, had serious injuries and were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
