Day one of two at the MSHSAA Golf Championships is in the books.
In Class 1 Orrick’s Dylan Comstock is tied for the lead with a round of 73. Comstock was medalist in this year’s Chillicothe Invitational.
Area golfers in Class 1 after the first day includes Jerret Courtney of Milan tied for 18th, William Heller of Marceline tied for 17th, Jacob Stallo of Marceline tied for 46th, Hayden Jumps of Gallatin tied for 48th out of 70 golfers.
In Class 3 Bishop LeBlond from the M.E.C. is tied for 1st in the team race with a 314. Westminster Christian is second with a 338. A St Pius X golfer and two LeBlond golfers are included in a six-way tie for fourth place with rounds of 78.
