High School Baseball playoffs continued in smaller classes on Wednesday and will continue in the larger classes today.
In Class 1 Green City beat Pattonsburg in the quarterfinals. The Gophers will face Oran on the 31st at 11:00 am.
St Elizabeth beat Lockwood 14-0 and faces Leeton which won their quarterfinal game 9-8 in nine innings.
In Class 2 Quarterfinals East Buchanan beat Lone Jack 10-3 and will face Holcomb, which won their game 19-0! Putnam County edged Eugene 4-3 and will face the winner of Gainesville and Marionville.
Class 3 Quarterfinals today include St Pius X of the MEC against Warsaw.
Kelley faces Jefferson of Festus; Elsberry takes on Father Tolton and Linn plays Skyline.
Class 4 Quarterfinals today are St Joseph Lafayette, which ended Chillicothe’s season taking on Summit Christian Academy, Kennett against Priory, St Charles West against Blair Oaks, and Springfield Catholic against Hollister.
Class 5 and 6 playoffs begin Saturday.
