A Hale teen had minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday morning. The 16-year-old girl was eastbound on Route J near County Road 261, when she ran off the right side of the road and her vehicle went airborne and struck an embankment, overturned, and hit a tree. She was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital by private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries. She was wearing a safety belt.
Troopers report a couple of arrests in the area counties.
In Caldwell County, at about 1:00 am this morning, Troopers arrested 23-year-old Daniel J Kelchner of Phoenixville, PA for alleged possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
In Chariton County at about 6:35 pm Tuesday, Troopers arrested 22-year-old Troy A Magnuson of Brookfield for alleged DWI and failing to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was processed and released.
