The Chillicothe Sliced Bread Day Bread Baking Contest will be held Saturday, July 10th at the Grand River Historical Society Museum.
Pam Clingerman, Museum Curator, says bread entries will be accepted at the Museum Saturday between 8:00 and 11:00 am.
She says this contest is for home-baked bread only – No Mixes. The entries will be judged in two divisions, Junior 18 and under and Senior over 18.
Judges’ decisions are final, if you have any questions or if you need an entry form please call the Museum at 660-646-1341.
Judging will take place at 12:00 and the winners will be announced at 1:00 followed by bread tasting for the general public. Clingerman says, adding to the fun, bread entries will be mechanically sliced using the Museum’s own Triple 7 bread slicing machine from 1936.
