The new playground at Simpson park is nearing completion, but park patrons are asked to refrain from using the playground until the construction fence is removed. Parks Director Josh Norris says the new rubberized playground surface has been poured and needs to cure before use. Norris says they also have some finishing work in and around the playground before it is open to the public.
Norris says they hope to have a “soft opening” of the playground in the next two weeks, with an official opening to be announced.
