The East Locust Creek Watershed project is waiting on a couple of key components, but Brad Scott with the North Central Regional Water Commission says much of the federal funding is committed.
Scott says they have begun some of the preliminary clearing.
In addition, they have created access roads for the excavation and are prepared to move forward.
The dam site for the East Locust Creek Reservoir will be located about five miles north of Milan, east of Highway 5, and south of Route N.
