The Livingston County K9 – Zaki, recently assisted the Daviess County Sheriff’s office with a drug investigation. Sheriff Steve Cox says on August 30th, the Daviess County Sheriff requested assistance from Zaki and his handler as they were still searching for a person suspected of being involved in a large drug manufacturing investigation.
Information obtained was the male suspect ran into a corn field in a certain location and Zaki was soon on the track. A short while later other officers witnessed the suspect quickly exit the corn field and surrender.
Cox says that although Zaki did not make the arrest he certainly made the arrest possible.
