It appears Mother Nature isn’t a fan of the Chillicothe Mudcats baseball team. Rains forced the postponement of the Mudcats home game with Joplin last night and again tonight. The games will be made good July 19th as a doubleheader at 6:05. MINK league doubleheaders are 7-inning games.
Looking at some Mudcat player statistics, according to the Pointstreak website, former Chillicothe Hornet Wes Brandsgaard is having a good season at the plate. Brandsgaard has a .345 batting average, going 10 for 29 at the plate with two doubles, five RBI, eight walks, three hit by pitch and just seven strike outs.
Braedyn Brewer from Overland Park, Kansas and North Central Missouri College in Trenton is also hitting .345 for the Mudcats, also going 10 for 29 in six games with two triples and four RBI. Tanner Sears from Higginsville and North Central Missouri College is hitting 333 with 13 hits in 39 at-bats. He has three doubles, a triple and a home run with seven RBI.
