A single-vehicle accident on Interstate 35 near Winston left five Illinois residents with moderate injuries, including three children. The accident happened Saturday at about 7:50 am, when 24-year-old Terri Christianson of East Moline, Illinois was northbound and ran off the west side of the road. The vehicle struck an embankment and went airborne, coming to rest in the median. The driver was not injured. Two adult passengers were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center and the three children were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.
