The Grand River rose above its banks over the weekend due to heavy rains in the region and ground that is still fairly saturated.
At Chillicothe, The river crested at 25.1 feet Sunday afternoon. The river has dropped below flood stage of 24 feet as of 3:45 this morning.
At Sumner, the river leveled off at 32.8 feet, but is expected to crest at 34 feet later today. Moderate Flooding is forecast to continue to Wednesday morning when the river falls back below flood stage of 26 feet.
At Brunswick, the river is slowly rising and will hold near flood stage of 19 feet. A crest of 19.3 feet is possible Tuesday and the flooding should end on Wednesday.
Additional rainfall later in the week could cause the river to rise again, and officials will keep an eye on the river levels.
