One of the MINK league baseball team’s season came to a sudden end. According to a statement on social media from MINK League commissioner Ron Rodriguez, the Nevada Griffons have had a positive COVID-19 test. That means Nevada’s season has now ended and all of their scheduled contests for the remainder of the season have been removed.
After consulting their local health department, the team would not be able to return in time to participate in the 2021 MINK League Playoffs.
Commissioner Rodriguez called it “a great disappointment that the season for the Griffins has ended.” He stated the league wishes nothing but the best for the players, coaches, staff, fans and the Nevada community.
