A single-vehicle accident in Chariton County left a Mendon teen with moderate injuries early this morning. State Troopers report the accident happened about 1:00 am on Route C at Rodeo Drive, as the 16-year-old girl ran off the left side of the road and struck an embankment, causing her car to overturn several times. She was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield. She was wearing a safety belt.
A Nebraska man was arrested in Linn County Friday night. State Troopers arrested 56-year-old Harley E Williams at about 11:54 pm for alleged driving while suspended, speeding, and on a Macon County warrant for a traffic violation. He was taken to the Brookfield Police Department pending the posting of bond.
