The Carroll County Memorial hospital and Norborne School District are continuing their partnership of providing education opportunities for students through a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, or “STEM” lab.
The Carroll County Memorial Hospital recently presented a $5.000 donation to sponsor Norborne’s STEM lab initiate. It’s the second such donation the Hospital has made to the school district, the first one made in 2020.
With the donation, the school was able o create a room dedicated to STEM. It’s designed to encourage collaboration, with multiple rolling work benches to allow small groups of students to work together.
Norborne Elementary Principal Kyla Waters stated the STEM lab is a great resource for students to learn about coding and robotics.
